What does the U.S. NMPR do?

The U.S. NMPR is both a Global and Country specific
Law Enforcement portal providing details of registered property ownership and stolen property records. With over 35 million records of property ownership details and stolen and lost goods reports it is the largest database of its type in the world.

It allows officers to search for property by serial numbers and descriptions to identify the registered owners of property and whether an item is recorded as lost or stolen. They can then contact the owner to return stolen goods and investigate any criminal activity relating to the property.

The NMPR data is searched thousands of times a day by Law Enforcement worldwide.
